In 1987, President of the United States Ronald Reagan oversaw the signing of the INF Treaty with the Soviet Union's General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev. During preliminary negotiations on December 7th, the Reagan Administration was infiltrated by Damien Darhk, who, in alliance with Eobard Thawne, conspired with the opportunist KGB agents to get a certain artifact from the Soviet Union in exchange for a CD-Rom that contained the nuclear codes of the United States, as well as a bomb that would blow up the White House. The Legends tried to stop Darhk during the White House tour on December 7th, but were unsuccessful, leading up to a great commotion, with Firestorm sightings being reported on Channel 52. The next day, the Legends visited a party at the White House, keeping an eye for Darhk and the KGB. While Reagan was meeting Gorbachev on December 8th, Darhk's plan transpired, but was ultimately prevented by the Legends, in a fight at the White House basement, while Ray Palmer and Mick Rory evacuated the guests from the building, before stopping the bomb left by Darhk.
In 2016, at the beginning of an alien invasion the current President, Lyla Michaels, Agent Smith, and others discuss strategy for defeating the Dominators. After the president was killed by a hostile Dominator, the White House as well as the presidency was then occupied by presumably the former vice president Olivia Marsdin.
