The Flash episode "Versus Zoom" and its many plotholes

So, I know this may be late, but the latest episode, "Versus Zoom" was more of a headache then an explanation. One example, is when Hunter answers why he didn't die, he says he went back in time and teamed up with his "time reament" and killed him and somehow convinced him. If his past self was anything like this Hunter, then he would also would like to do anything to live, so he wouldn't want to die. Let me know what you thought about the episode.
