"The Dragon" is the nineteenth episode of the sixth season of Arrow, and the one-hundred-thirty-fourth episode overall. It aired on April 19, 2018.


Looking to expand his empire, Diaz and Laurel meet with the Quadrant, a coalition of mafia families who run national organized crime. Meanwhile, after Oliver's recent decision, Felicity and Curtis double their efforts on building Helix Dynamics.[1]




  • This is the first episode of the series to not feature Juliana Harkavy after being promoted to a series regular.
  • This is the first episode of the entire series in which the antagonist of the season becomes a main protagonist of the episode and the first villain in Arrow and Arrowverse to do so.
  • The episode's original title "Enter the Dragon" references the Bruce Lee film of the same name.[2]
  • Stephen Amell compared his involvement with this episode to McNulty from The Wire where the character made little to no appearances throughout the fourth season.[3]
  • Katie Cassidy, Kirk Acevedo and Ashton Holmes appeared on Supernatural. Acevedo and Holmes also appeared on Nikita, Numb3rs and Law & Order franchise. In addition, Acevedo appeared on Band of Brothers while Holmes appeared in its companion The Pacific.
  • Stephen Amell, Kirk Acevedo, Ashton Holmes and Gina Ravera each appeared in the CSI franchise.
  • J. Douglas Stewart co-starred in the TV film Road Rage with fellow Arrowverse actor John Wesley Shipp.
  • This episode has the largest number of absent main cast members in the entire series, as David Ramsey, Rick Gonzalez, Juliana Harkavy, and Paul Blackthorne are absent. Only Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards, Echo Kellum, and Katie Cassidy appear in the episode.
  • This episode is the first in the entire series not to feature David Ramsey (John Diggle), leaving Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen) to be the only cast member to appear in every episode of Arrow.
