Trivia
- The title of the episode is a reference to a quote from the 1987 gangster film The Untouchables, in which Jimmy Malone describes to Eliot Ness how to get Al Capone, describing it as "the Chicago way". Also the character of Ness says his famous true line "Never Stop fighting until the Fight is done!"
- While posing as an FBI agent, Ray uses the alias "Bob De Niro". This is a reference to actor Robert De Niro, who played Al Capone in The Untouchables.
- Ray does an impression Jimmy Malone (played by Sean Connery) with his line "Isn't that just like a thug. Brings a tommy gun to an ion blaster fight."
- It wasn't revealed which year Malcolm Merlyn is from in this episode. However, he was seen with his Cybernetic Hand, which means that this is a version of Malcolm Merlyn after Beacon of Hope.
- It was later revealed in The Legion of Doom that this is a version of Malcolm Merlyn right after the events of Schism.
- Malcolm reveals to Sara that he was responsible for the sinking of the Queen's Gambit nine years ago which led to a major chain of events that turned her into the White Canary and Oliver Queen into the Green Arrow mentioning Ivo, Deathstroke and Laurel's death. Those events developed through Season 1. Malcolm's son Tommy Merlyn also appeared in that season whose death Sara referred to at Malcolm.
- Malcolm also pokes fun at Sara's sexuality, suggesting "you can have a nice life, meet a nice boy... or girl."
- The device Eobard Thawne used to take the appearance of Martin Stein is the same device he used to take the appearance of Harrison Wells. This is the first appearance of the device since The Flash episode, "Tricksters".
- Nearing the end of the episode, both Amaya and Mick seem to begin to have feelings for each other, with Amaya even thanking Mick for nearly stopping Rex's killer with her, saying he isn't a bad guy and even kissing him on the cheek.
- Despite this, they don't actually begin a relationship, as Amaya begins one with Nate in "Land of the Lost".
- Jax tells Ray and Nate that Thawne is going to kill Sara in the Library. Ray answer to this is with the rope or the Candlestick which is a reference to the game, Clue. (This also implies that the board game might actually be on the ship.)
