Trivia

  • This episode was almost universally panned by fans and critics alike with IGN only giving it a 3.8 only pointing out Neal McDonough's performance as Damien Darhk and Oliver's new job as mayor as the highlights. Aspects criticized include the dull action scenes, the depressing rather than the uplifting ending, lack of suspense and unsatisfying resolution to Oliver's season long struggle.
  • During the final showdown between Green Arrow and Damien Darhk, a cameraman can be seen actually being close to the camera filming towards the viewer's point of view.
  • Sara Lance later learns of these events and the madness Darhk slipped into once he lost his wife. She taunted him with this in "Compromised" leaving Darhk to change his future by time traveling with Eobard Thawne.
    • Afterwards they traveled to the date of Damien's death in 2016 to recruit Malcolm Merlyn who agreed to join their newly formed team.
