Members of the Legion of Super-Heros have a ring used to allow them to fly. They were used in the 31st century, and early 2018.

One such ring owned by Clark Kent and kept in the Fortress of Solitude.

History

Clark Kent acquired a Legion Ring sometime before 2016 and kept it on a pedestal at his Fortress. It was later noticed by Kara Danvers, when she visited the Fortress with James Olsen.[1]

Sometime during or before the 31st century, the ring was invented and given to members of The Legion, granting them access to the power of flight.

At some point The Legion traveled back in time and were they were found by Supergirl The D.E.O. and later battled Reign at Albatross Bay using their rings.[2]

Behind the scenes

  • In the DC comics, this item is called the Legion Flight Ring, engraved with the signature "L" of the Legion of Super-Heroes, a superhero team from the 31st century. Its wearer gets the ability to fly in both atmospheric environments and outer space. In many stories, Superman and Supergirl, as former or reservist Legionnaires, are also seen wearing flight rings. Superman usually keeps his in his Fortress as a reminder of his time spent in the 31st century.
