Miranda Crane is a United States Senator from California. Miranda initially had an anti-view on aliens in general until she was saved by Supergirl from a White Martian.

At some point, Miranda Crane became a politician and a senator for the state of California.
A White Martian impersonates Miranda.
Miranda arrived in National City and spoke at a rally calling for tougher measures against aliens. The rally was attacked by a White Martian, which later uses its shapeshifting to impersonate her. She was taken to the sewers before being found and rescued by J'onn J'onzz. After the incident, she revised her stance on anti-alien policies.[1]
She briefly fell in love with J'onn, but broke off the relationship after finding out he'd been masquerading as Hank Henshaw.[2]
