Mrs. Gardener went to dinner with her husband, Ray Palmer and Felicity Smoak. Palmer was interested in buying her husband's mines in Nevada, but Gardner did not initially want to sell them to him; however Felicity managed to convince him by telling him that Ray didn't want to make money, but to help people.[1]
