- "Since the introduction of our latest line of autonomous law enforcement officers, crime has dropped precipitously. In fact, it's nonexistent."
- —Dr. Bryce on the A.T.O.M. combat robots[src]
An army of autonomous robotic exosuits, dubbed the A.T.O.M. robots by Ray Palmer, the creator of the original A.T.O.M. Exosuit, was used by the Kasnia Conglomerate to act as the defense force and the police of the Conglomerate's territories. The robot army, created as a force of peace, would be used by Vandal Savage in his conquest of Earth but was deactivated by Dr. Bryce at the behest of Ray Palmer and Kendra Saunders.
History[]
The development of this technology was started by Sidney Palmer, who claimed to be the creator of the A.T.O.M. Exosuit after his brother's presumed death. As theorized by Ray Palmer, Sydney went to work for Felicity Smoak, CEO of Palmer Technologies, then "sold out to the military." As mentioned by Dr. Bryce of the Kasnia Conglomerate, Sydney was the founder of their robot-development company that managed to create autonomous law enforcement officers by 2147.[1]
Concerned by the brutality of the robots' law enforcement, and their possible use in Vandal Savage's world conquest, a time-traveling Ray Palmer went on a mission to stop Kasnian Conglomerate's robot army. After a confrontation, he managed to convince Sidney Palmer's descendant, Dr. Bryce, to deactivate the A.T.O.M. robots with the help of Kendra Saunders.[1]
