Diaz wants to rule a city, Zoom just wants to terrorize it and kill people for fun.
Orphanages?? And both had darkness, that they used Diaz had "The Dragon" Zoom had "Speed Vol.9"
Also, both have a dead parent and childhood trauma.
Just remembered that Laurel perhaps has a thing for dominant bad boys (compensation for her daddy issues). First she was working for Zoom, then for Adrian Chase, then Cayden James, then Diaz. No clue what/if Cayden had leverage on her but she killed Vigilante just because he said so. The computer guy seemed to have no leverage or power over her however she still did what he said....
In Dragon Diaz seemed to treat her as a complete equal and did not seemed to force her in any way. He listened to her and seemed open for her criticism and many complaints, he also said he was glad that she decided to come allong before they fought their way into the quadrant.
However..... the next episode Laurel suddenly makes it look like Diaz is forcing her, not giving her a choice and she is scared off him, and what he might do to her.
Yeah, it is bull on how they are doing this redemption story.
So for Laurel to come over to the good guys, Oliver just has to be abusive and threaten to kill her and she'll fall for him?
Oh, but then if Oliver kills one guy, she'll feel threatened by him despite her thousands of kills. That is how this Laurel works apparently.
Perhaps Laurel just acts evil because she likes to/is used to. However when people confront her about it she points to others.
Instead of admitting that she worked with Diaz because she wanted to she spins it and makes (her equal partner) Diaz look like a monster who is inhuman, forces her to do these things and that she is with him because he did not give her a choice and because she is scared of him.
That way she does not have to blame herself for her own actions but she can keep blaming others for them. Her dad for dying. Oliver for dying The bad guys after that for (supposedly) forcing her to bad things.
While in reality it were all her choices. And she choose to be this person.
